Are all AYA&IDA products food-safe?
Yes, all the products we design and sell are safe for food. Our products are tested according to LFGB, a food safety standard that ensures the materials are safe for contact with food and beverages. The testing includes checks for harmful substances.
Our bottles and Food'ie are made of stainless steel, while the lids are made from 100% pure polypropylene plastic, which is resistant to acids, bases, and solvents, and is known for its durability. This ensures high-quality products that can be safely used for both food and beverages.
Why 18/8 stainless steel?
We chose 18/8 stainless steel because it is food-safe, durable, and non-reactive. This means it neither imparts nor absorbs flavors from food and drinks. Our products are laboratory-certified according to LFGB (food contact grade testing), ensuring they meet high food safety standards.
Do your bottles have a plastic lining inside?
No, our bottles are made from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, which is naturally safe and does not require any plastic lining. This ensures the bottles are durable and practical without any additional coating.
Are your products suitable for all types of food and beverages?
AYA&IDA products—including water bottles, CUP2GO, Lunch Box, and Food'ie—are designed to hold both food and beverages.
Our products are made of 18/8 stainless steel, so they can hold any type of beverage, hot or cold, acidic or carbonated, without imparting any extra taste or releasing harmful substances. The products are laboratory-certified to meet LFGB food contact standards.
Can the bottles get scratched?
The bottles have a durable powder-coated surface that protects against normal wear and tear. However, the coating can get scratched if the bottle is dropped or scraped against hard surfaces. Dents do not affect functionality or safety - the bottle can still be used safely even with minor bumps.
Where are the products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in Zhejiang Province, China, by certified partners that we carefully select and work closely with. The manufacturers are members of BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) and have implemented high standards for work environment, safety, and responsible production. We regularly visit the facilities and continuously assess social and environmental conditions.
How do I clean my AYA&IDA products?
Keeping your AYA&IDA products clean is easy.
For maximum longevity, we recommend washing our products by hand rather than in the dishwasher. This minimizes wear and helps you enjoy the products for longer.
We suggest rinsing the water bottle with warm water after each use, especially if it has contained anything other than water. For deep cleaning, use warm water, mild soap, and a bottle brush. For a more natural alternative, a solution of vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda works just as well.
After washing, let the bottles dry upside down with the lid and neck facing down to allow water to drain. This also helps prevent any stale smells.
Can condensation form on the outside of the products?
Our products are double-walled, insulated bottles. Therefore, the exterior remains unaffected regardless of whether the contents are ice-cold or piping hot.
How long can CUP2GO keep beverages hot?
CUP2GO has been tested to maintain beverage temperature as follows:
If coffee/tea is poured in at 90°C (using a kettle or Quooker), and the lid is closed immediately, the temperature drops by approximately 10°C every 30 minutes. This means the coffee/tea is still at a perfect drinking temperature after about 1½–2 hours.
If you want to drink it immediately, you can wait a bit before closing the lid. The large opening allows the beverage to quickly reach the desired temperature.
Starting temperatures may vary depending on brewing method, whether poured directly into a thermos or traditional glass pot, and whether milk is added cold or hot.
Can I fly with my bottle?
Yes, you can. As long as the bottle is empty when passing through security, you may bring it on board. Many airports have water dispensers where you can fill your bottle and enjoy cold water during your journey.
What materials do you use for packaging your orders?
At AYA&IDA, we aim to minimize packaging and waste to protect the environment. Specifically, we reuse packaging whenever possible and choose packaging made of well-considered materials when purchasing new supplies.
